Recycled plastic fence posts

Recycled plastic fence posts are one of the latest innovative products Citycare Property has on trial in Auckland.

About one kilometre of the sustainable plastic posts have replaced wooden ones at Mountfort Park in Manurewa, Auckland.

The posts, which are shaped like torpedoes, are designed and made in New Zealand by Future Post using recycled plastic bags and milk bottles collected in the community. They are more durable than traditional fence posts, lasting up to 50 years.

Use of the plastic posts is on trial for Auckland Council.
