Empowering our Wāhine: Citycare Property's Annual Wāhine Summit

Last week, we hosted our annual Wāhine Summit in Ōtautahi/Christchurch, bringing together 48 of our female advocates, emerging leaders, and changemakers from across the motu for a day anchored by connection and curiosity to support growth.

This special hui featured workshops from incredible facilitators including Suran Dickson, Anna Johnstone, Lara Briden and Jessica Townsend, concluding with our CCHL "Seasons of Success: Weaving Women’s Wisdom Across Generations" panel featuring our very own COO Lee Gardiner, Lianne Dalziel, Marina Taylor (Amplifyou), Kiriana Coleman (LPC) and Kaity Mitchell (Enable) where these remarkable wāhine shared their experiences and journeys so far.

At Citycare Property, we're committed to putting our people at the heart of everything we do. With wāhine representing 22% of our workforce, we're actively working to increase female representation and development through our ESG Roadmap and All In Diversity & Inclusion Strategy.

This summit is just one way we're doing this by fostering a supportive network where wāhine at every life stage can share experiences, gain fresh perspectives, and help each other navigate their professional journeys.

We believe that by lifting our wāhine up and nurturing a network of support, we build a stronger, more innovative organisation that is rich in different backgrounds, experiences, worldviews, and perspectives.

A special day fueled by the energy of wāhine and tāne allies activating curiosity, connection and collaboration.
