Edgewater College accessibility bathroom

Schools often require learning support property modifications and Citycare Property assists the Ministry of Education by providing building expertise to schools.

The building work ensures all students can access rooms and facilities promote independence, privacy and safety for students with special needs.

During the summer school holidays, Citycare Property’s Auckland Minor Capital Works team built a new accessible bathroom at Edgewater College in Pakuranga.

Over three weeks the team transformed a boys’ bathroom into an accessible bathroom.

The new amenity included a shower, hoist, change table, ramp and handrails.

And it was ready to go for the start of school.
